NOUR, the first project by Sara Alawie, embodies a quiet presencE,
light distilled, form reduced to its essence.
A simple touch on the brass activates and softens the light,
turning the ordinary into a sensory experience
NOUR is light rising from matter, like the echo of a drop falling into water.
The hand follows the curve of the dome and draws circles that open into one another,
waves that keep living long after their center has dissolved. Each mark is a breath expanding, a moment held. the light never reveals its source: it emerges from within, quiet and contained.
The solid base anchors it; the floating hemisphere seems almost weightless.
The brass enters without sound: a line that binds voice and silence, strength and delicacy.
NOUR does not seek to impress. It seeks to remain.
It is an object, and also a threshold: a warm, diffused light that doesn’t intrude but accompanies, like the final ripple after a drop, the one that arrives softly,
asking you to pause, to stay, and to breathe..
